Benny Callaghan

I'm a passionate facilitator who comes alive in high-stakes complex change situations that require people to collaborate and create across difference.

I support government agencies (all levels), industry and communities to navigate complex change. My work involves systems facilitation, program design, service innovation, and leadership coaching. I have a passion for and focus on regional and rural Australia, water and environment sectors, alternative economies, and helping communities deal with the impacts of bushfire, flood, drought and other climate-related change.

I have twenty-plus years’ experience in leadership development, systems change, and community innovation that has given me a deep understanding of the dynamics of human development, performance, and well-being.

I coach and teach leaders from early-career managers to senior executives, across Australia and around the world.

I have studied ethics, neuroscience, emotional intelligence, whole-body thinking, and identity formation. I am known for creating safe spaces where people can show up authentically to explore real—and often hidden—issues with deep compassion and understanding.

I enjoy incorporating nature in my work and am proud to partner with organisations working in the outdoors including Outward Bound Australia and the Australian Rural Leadership Foundation. I am an Associate Certified Coach with the International Coaching Federation.
